Boatrocker Hop Bomb
Brewery: Boatrocker Brewing Company
Style: India Pale Ale (IPA)
Format: 330ml Bottle
Sometimes you just want more. So we've made a beer with more of the best ingredients available, More malt. More hops. More flavour. This hop bomb is brewed in the tradition of the US West Coast IPA's with generous hop additions throughout the boil and loads of dry hopping at the end of fermentation. Enjoy!
WHAT OTHER CUSTOMERS ARE SAYING
Almost awesome :)
It's very close to awesome. I would say it's more like an English type of IPA, and by that, I mean that there is a little sweetness in it. Some people might find it appealing, I would just rather have a real dry and bitter IPA, without any trace of sweetness. But the beer is well done I think, the sweetness seems to come from some strong "malt roasted" process (I don't know how to put it), the kind you would find in brown beers. And the sweetness is honestly not TOO obvious and well balanced by a fair bitterness (IBU 60). If you are like me, always looking for more bitterness, I would suggest you try the BrewDog Hammer IPA, THAT's what I'm talking about!
It's called and IPA but the description says its brewed in an East Coast USA style, but I think it is more like an English Ale. It's malty and sweet, full of floaties and not much hops flavour at all. If you where expecting and English Ale, I think you would like it, but I don't think it meets the style of a East Coast IPA. Still nice though.
Has a citrus aroma with a big malt flavour, no bitterness on the finish, interesting IPA
Great colour with a hoppy, floral, citrus nose. Tangy citrus front. Smooth light malt body. Zesty fruit finish and linger. I'll have a box full.
