Tuatara Brewing Company
Tuatara APA (American Pale Ale)
Country: New Zealand
Brewery: Tuatara Brewing Company
Style: American Pale Ale
Format: 500ml Bottle
Barack Obama isn't the only American to be returned by popular demand. Tuatara's famous, original APA is back, accompanied by the seductive aromas and flavours of its all-American hopping regime. American Pale Ale is the wild colonial iteration of the famous English IPAs of the nineteenth century. In a country whose idea of an urbane well-bred Englishman is Piers Morgan, American Pales make the most of a hop breeding culture originally founded by Californian hippies, the kind who got their start in more illegal forms of horticulture. Tuatara reflects that freewheeling adventurousness from the giant fruit on the nose to the fabulous bitterness at the end. Make the most of it while it lasts.

WHAT OTHER CUSTOMERS ARE SAYING
I don't believe Tuatara make a bad beer, this is a typically high quality American pale ale style with an NZ twist. Having said that if you want a bit more body/flavour, the blue label APA (Aotearoa Pale Ale) is a little nicer.
Dark amber colour. Light grapefruit hops nose. Tropical & citrus flavours upfront. Subtle malts. Bitter grapefruit & pine finish & linger. Cool reptilian styled bottle too!
