If you're looking for some tasty new beers to try, including super popular New England IPA's then this is for you.
1. Stone Aggro Agronomist IPA
Getting all aggro can sometimes be a negative. Getting aggro with your hops however? Awesome. (Try singing that aloud in your best Stone Aggro heavy metal falsetto). Equally awesome: getting aggro with hop agronomy. It's often a tradition passed down through generations, as is the case with Perrault Farms in Toppenish, Washington. Since 1928, the Perrault family and friends have honed their craft to breed new hop varieties with ever more awesome (sing it again) flavours and aromas. This beer features the powerhouse hop Citra as well as two new varieties - Sabro and the as-of-yet unnamed HBC 692. These new beauties balance classic citrus notes with intriguing hints of coconut, herbs and stone fruit. We've gotten aggro many times with our beers since 1996. So a tip of the hat to aggro agronomists like the Perrault family who give us the tools to aggressively propel our craft forward.
2. Akasha Queen of the Damned Red IPA
Originally brewed in collaboration with the Royal Albert Hotel this Red IPA packs a punch! Full of Citra and Centennial hops, it's hoppy and balanced with an awesome red hue, you'll be going back for more!
3. Pirate Life Frontside Cream Ale
The Burton x Pirate Life Frontside Ale is a gently hopped smasher, sentimentally modelled on a classic American Cream Ale. A touch of corn makes this beer light and dry meaning that the mild, fruity hop characters of Motueka and Taiheke can shine through. Drink it in the pow pow, drink it right now now.
4. Ekim Sabro IPA
Single hop IPA featuring Sabro hops. Sabro is a US aroma hop that is notable for its complexity of fruity and citrus flavours. It imparts distinct tangerine, coconut, tropical fruit, and stone fruit aromas, with hints of cedar, mint, and cream. With a robust brewing performance, Sabro proves to be a strongly expressive hop that translates its flavour incredibly well into beer.
5. Black Hops Bitter Fun Hoppy Pale Ale
In 2015 we brewed what was intended to be Black Hops original Pale Ale. After accidentally hopping it twice, we released it under the new name of Bitter Fun and it grew into a crowd favourite. This 2019 re-release amps up the ABV and the Aussie hops to make one of our old favourites, even more fun.
6. Dainton Nutters Choc Peanut Butter Stout
Peanuts are rad, aliens told us so. Better than that, we’re going to show you so. Just watch your allergies, because we aim to please. This beer ain’t crap!
7. Deschutes Lil' Squeezy Juicy Ale
Refreshingly juicy. Effortlessly drinkable. Freshly Squeezed. No fruit was harmed in the making of this beer.
8. Hope Ginger Sour Ale
A delightful combination of sour beer and ginger that is super refreshing and strangely satisfying. This lighter style ginger beer packs intense flavours with pleasant ginger aromas.
9. Capital Big Drop Double IPA
Citrus, sticky pine & dank resin fill your nose from the first smell. Drinkability is the main descriptor here for this DIPA! Orange sherbert, green melon, pine & lime coat the mouth leaving you wanting more. There is some malt sweetness which carries the hops but still has the classic Capital dry West Coast IPA finish.
This beer has been a long time in the works. We've been developing the recipe over the past couple of years, with plenty of tasting, testing, twerking & tweaks. We're stoked to see how it's developed into what it is today.
It's absolutely loaded with hops (twice the amount as our Rock Hopper IPA) and very drinkable! Finishing, long, dank and resinous!
10. Colonial Inquest Imperial Stout 2019
Introducing the limited edition Colonial Inquest. Big, dark and bold; at 11.7% ABV our imperial stout is liquid gold not to be forgotten.
Brewed with two separate mashes, using the last worts of the first to mash in to the second, we've intensified the fermentables and are left with bountiful booze and a big body.
A spree of dark malts provides a rich base of chocolate and coffee like character, with a touch of caramel and toffee to compliment. Mandarina Bavaria hops built the citrus aroma, with 8 weeks to develop the complex character came to life.
"We've created something special here, employing a brewing method we've never tried before to create our biggest release yet. It's big, rich, loaded with malt and complex flavours but doesn't completely overpower the palate, remaining balanced and moreish." said Head Brewer Ash Hazell.
An Imperial Stout like no other, but we'll let you be the judge.
11. Otherside Barley Wine
Our Barley Wine pours a deep red from a generous dose of English crystal malt. A mix of early kettle American hops balance the sweetness from the high ABV. The yeast strain throws off interesting esters and ferment characteristics from the high gravity wort.
12. Bridge Road Hazy Bling Hazy IPA
This New England IPA is based on our flagship IPA, Bling. With its iconic red hue, Bling is Australia's oldest continually produced IPA. This hazy version has juicy tropical hop flavours that meld seamlessly with the signature malt profile of the original.
