1. Ekim / Beer Cartel 10th Anniversary Red IPA
Collaboration beer, created to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Beer Cartel. The team at Beer Cartel love Red IPAs so we thought doing one with them to celebrate their birthday was a no brainer!
Brewed using German Red X malt and oats, our Red IPA has been double dry hopped with Mosaic & Citra hops. With a firm bitterness, you can expect rich flavours & aromas of pine, resin and citrus, all balancing out nicely at 6.8% ABV.
2. Garage Project Day of the Dead
Lager, but not as we know it. Garage Project’s Day of the Dead - a strong black lager inspired by the Aztec beverage xocolatl, “a bitter, frothy, spicy drink” combining cocoa and chili. Brewed with smoked chipotle chili, refermented with organic blue agave syrup (the basis of Tequila) and conditioned over raw cocoa nibs - rich and dark, Day of the Dead is smooth and drinkable with a complex mix of smoke, chocolate and restrained chili heat. A true celebration of the dark side.
3. North End Salt and Wood Petit Luna
Just because something is small doesn't mean it won't pack a punch. The little, delicate, dried flowers of the hibiscus plant are a case in point as they lend a pungent, fruity character, and deep pink colour when added to beer. The same can be said of Petit Luna. Hibiscus, kaffir lime, spicy Belgian yeast, and lactic tartness all brew up to a big refreshing blast of flavour fired by a light, low alcohol beer.
4. 3 Ravens Strawberries & Cream Milkshake IPA
An unconventional IPA with low bitterness and a rich mouthfeel combining protein rich grains, fruity yeast, new world hops (hule melon, mosaic and cashmere), strawberry, vanilla and milk sugar for added creaminess and sweet finish.
5. Wayward/Malt Shovel Camperdown Collective IPA
Brewed to celebrate the beers that started the IPA craze 25 years ago, this collaboration is unashamedly big and totally rad in every way. At a bodacious 6.7% ALC/VOL and gnarly 60 IBU, it's wickedly balanced with a simple malt bill and bursting with righteous hop aromas with notes of pine, citrus and spice. Sweet!
The Camperdown Collective was formed in 2015 when the Malt Shovel Brewers noticed a little brewery opening up across the road from them. The Malt Shovel Brewers leapt in to help our new Wayward brewery get set up and a great friendship was formed over many well-deserved beers. Finally, our brew crews have come together to brew a beer that is close to our hearts. The result is a true collaboration using the skills and resources of both breweries that reflects the passion of the brewers.
6. Hawkers Pale Ale
A quintessential American style pale ale, hop forward and very balanced. This beer is a real thirst quencher.
7. Ballistic Sleep When You're Dead Hazy IPA
It has risen again! The latest in the SWYD series, this hop loaded, cold shipped and very limited edition brew lasts for 8 weeks. Get it before the dead by date! This is a fruit-driven hop loaded yet extremely drinkable beer. Hazy, luscious, juicy and fresh.
8. Epic IPA On A Stick West Coast IPA
WINNER - 2019 West Coast IPA Challenge, Malthouse, Wellington. Just what you want from at West Coast IPA. Big hop aroma, Big hop flavour. Using Citra and Nelson Sauvin hops.
9. Molly Rose Mr Dark Hoppy Dark Ale
This beer appeared in my mind on a cold night when I was driving home and wondering why I didn't have any dark beers yet. I wanted it to be dark but not black or roasty, and wanted it to be hopped up but not bitter. Is it a choc NEIPA? Nahhh of course not, it's a hoppy dark ale.
10. Blackman's Hop Smash XPA
We've brewed a single hop XPA with some trendy new experimental hops from the USA with the legends @yakimachief Mashed it with some malt from @barrettburstonmalting and fermented it with Melbourne Ale yeast from @whitelabsyeast
11. Yulli's Dads Army Van's Barrel Aged Spiced Pumpkin Ale
Our spring seasonal barrel aged beer for the Dad's Army range is a spiced pumpkin ale, aged on oak for 3 months in Lark Port Whiskey Barrels. A combination of biscuit & caramel malts combine with 25kg of roasted pumpkin in the mash for a rounded backbone, before being boiled with English Fuggles hops and a generous addition of cinnamon and nutmeg to spice things up a bit. Fermented on a classic english yeast strain, and then aged in the barrels for 3 months, this beer presents a complex flavour profile with notes of all of the additions and processes the went into the beer. Spice, pumpkin, english ale yeast character, whiskey all play a part in challenging your pallate for Halloween.
12. Hop Nation The Kalash Russian Imperial Stout 2019
The 2019 Kalash is here! Welcome to the fourth consecutive release of our barrel-aged Russian Imperial Stout.
Aged in seasoned Bourbon barrels for 4 months before blending, subtle oak and Bourbon characters come through alongside notes of dark chocolate, tar and spice.
