Virvendus, Estonian for ripple. As ripples grow, they turn into waves. Much like the craft beer movement, what started as a ripple turned into breweries making waves. From the other side of the world, Pohjala, hailing from Estonia have been making waves in the craft beer world with some of the best beers on Earth. When the opportunity to collaborate arose, we wanted to make a beer that worked for both our wheelhouses.... So a Baltic Porter aged in Starward whisky casks using some uniquely Australian ingredients such as Voyager red gum smoked malt and Tasmanian pepper berries was born
