Style: Wheat Beer
Format: 375ml Can
With over 50% of the malt bill consisting of wheat (Weizen) and the use of Tettnanger hops, this is our go at a Bavarian Hefeweizen. Cloudy due to the 'Hefe' (yeast) and with hints of banana and clove, this beer is easy to drink. But be careful! It's ABV is deceptively high!
WHAT OTHER CUSTOMERS ARE SAYING
Bavarian Quality from a local Weizenbier! Delicious!
A Wheat-Beer, made in Kempsey? This raised my eyebrows... I had to sample it. I think of the "Weizenbier" (German Wheat/White beers) as light coloured, sweet, easy to drink summer thirst quenchers. "Hefeweizen" means "yeast wheat" unfiltered, carrying more subtle flavours.
The Bucket Brewery has done this well. A foamy, light straw coloured delight, there are fruity hints here, almost honey like tints of sweetness and the yeastiness adds to the charm gently. It goes down so well, but you can sip it slowly just to try to pick the various suggestions of flavour. No hop "bitterness" but very floral and sweet. Magic!
