About The Beer
Whether you are at the beginning of your farmhouse journey or full blown lambic lord, this mixed pack has something for you.
It features 6 of our favourite wild and farmhouse ales, some new releases and some of our staff absolute favourite beers.
Don't mess around because this one isn't going to last long!
1. Wildflower Gold 750ml
Our homage to the rustic, provincial ales of Wallonia, Gold is a medium strength wild ale best enjoyed in good company. Delicately balanced, gold shows notes of pepper, fresh hops, lemon zest and stone fruits. The palate is effervescent and bone dry with a subtle spicy bitterness, pillowy body and developing acidity from the indigenous flora. This beer undergoes a warm primary fermentation in wide vats before being transferred into French oak barrels for maturation. Barrels are then selected and blended to meet our desired character before being packaged and naturally bottle conditioned for a minimum of 4 weeks for ideal carbonation. Only then do we release this unspiced wild ale to be enjoyed at table with your favourite foods and best of friends.
2. Boon Oude Schaarbeekse Kriek 2019
This Schaarbeekse cherry is a variety tart-acidic cherry which was unique to the Lambic Region that was always used for Kriek. The supply decreased substantially over the years and became less common for use in fruit lambic. So to make a Kriek with these cherries is to be truly Traditional. Oude Kriek Boon is one of the finest examples of the 100% spontaneous fermentation fruit-Lambic style. 400g of wild cherries per litre are fermented together with a blend of young and old Boon Lambic that has been aged in oak casks. After clarification, the Oude Kriek is kegged and refermented. It is unsweetened, unfiltered, unpasteurised and has no artificial flavourings, preservatives or colourings added. Brewed in Lembeek, the village that gave Lambic its name.
3. Saison Dupont 330ml
Saison Dupont is a classic Belgian farmhouse ale. This is a beautifully balanced, complex beer that has a refreshing fruitiness and long, dry finish. It is bottled unfiltered so it may be cloudy or have a slight sediment but this is normal and perfectly natural.
4. Two Metre Tall Forth All Grain 375ml
Introducing the first addition to our Tasmanian River Series since we started brewing in 2006.
A brew of mixed grains & absolutely NO HOPS!
The base grain is Tasmanian grown & malted barley together with specialty grains - quinoa, buckwheat, rye & oats which have all been grown organically in the Forth River Valley by the Damen family at Kindred Organics.
5. De Troch Oude Gueuze Cuvee
The De Troch Lambics are brewed by age-od methods which depend on spontaneous fermentation. The wort is cooled in shallow, open-air vats (coolships) which exposes the brew to micro-organisms giving Lambic its unique flavour. After this process the ale is aged in casks for at least a year completing the spontaneous fermentation process.
6. Yulli's Brews Mount Frome 2020 Shiraz Wild Ale
Mount Frome is a mixed culture wild ale made with a blend of grain & grapes. Making the best of a terrible situation, smoke affected shiraz grapes were picked at Golbert Family Wines at Mudgee, NSW and then pressed and blended with a base beer brewed at Yulli's Sydney brewery before fermenting and ageing in ex-shiraz French oak barrels for 7 months. Mount Frome pours rose in colour, with a fine beaded carbonation from bottle conditioning. Expect funk, spice, cherry, oak, tannin and a unique smoke finish.
A collaboration between Yulli's Brews & Gilbert Family Wines.
