There comes a time in any brewery's life when they need to make the serious decision about what sports team they'll get behind. For Garage Project this decision was simple – roller derby. If you haven't made it to a roller derby match yet, you really don't know what you are missing out on. Inspired by Wellington's own Richter City Roller Derby team Pils 'n' Thrills is an American hopped pilsener, with a bright golden colour and a crisp, clean, bitter citrus character.

Like all Garage beers it is also vegan and unfiltered. The fantastic vintage tattoo art work is by local tattoo artist Simon Morse, which seemed fitting since he's inked half the Richter City team.

Product Reviews

  1. 5 Star Review Excellent beer!

I have been really keen to try Garage Project for a long time...this was a great first beer to have! Great IPA & really adjunct flavours!

  2. 4 Star Review One of the best things Garage Project did was release this in cans

Garage Project have done a wonderful thing to take a great beer and stick it in a 400ml can.
Maybe it's just me, but the flavours and hop bitterness just seem to explode more when pouring from a can than from the bottle.
Wonderful colour, with a blend of pineapple and citrus aromas exploding from the glass. Quenches the thirst while giving just enough bitterness to keep you

  3. 4 Star Review 4.5 stars - excellent IPA

Beautiful fresh tropical fruitiness, decently hoppy with the faintest suggestion of chili in the finish. Top beer and excellent label. Big fan of the can.

  4. 4 Star Review 4 Brilliant

Orange blossom nose. Grapefruit, orange front with dry, crisp hop finish. Not a typical pils. These guys blast typical to make great beer.

  5. 5 Star Review 5 stars

"Another in the fine tradition of Garage projects finest.
Another example of NZ Brewing with twist and taste to burn!"
