Killer Sprocket Amber Ale
Brewery: Killer Sprocket
Style: Amber Ale
Format: 330ml Bottle
Killer Sprocket Amber Ale is the first beer on offer from newcomer Killer Sprocket. This Amber Ale pours a clear deep ruby-copper with a thin, quickly dissipating head. Utilising Pale, Munich, Crystal and Chocolate malts, its bouquet reveals a backbone of toffee, with some caramel and dark fruit supporting, and a pleasingly slight level of roasting. In the mouth, a combination of Cascade, East Kent Goldings and Amarillo hops, used subtly, provide a wonderful balance to the malt, showing good dryness to correspond with the malt's predominant sweetness, and allow the beer to finish bitter.
WHAT OTHER CUSTOMERS ARE SAYING
Mild tasting amber
I expected more because it was from Killer Sprocket. I usually love their beers. this one was a bit mild for my liking. no real stand out flavours or aromas. a steady beer but I would choose others over it.
Nice tasting amber ale
However, when opening 1/4 fizzed out of each bottle. You have to make sure the bottles stand up for a while before you open it and do so above the sink.
Did not experience a pressure overload like other reviewer but the flavour of this Amber was more subtle than I would prefer, that said it is enjoyable
