The line-up:

1. Mountain Culture Unicorns & Rainbows DDH IPA 500ml Can

This beer contains Vic Secret, Galaxy and Idaho-7 as well as a yeast strain that ate the soluble sugars to create alcohol and is therefore not suitable for consumption by children. This artwork was designed using Adobe Illustrator tools, technical pen, marker and dry ink. 6.8% ABV

2. Pirate Life Trans-Tasman Imperial IPA 500ml Can

This Imperial IPA is bold, flavoursome, and champions ingredients from either side of the Tasman. Hops are central, with characterful New Zealand and Australian strains joining forces to get the job done. South Aussie Pale Malt forms the base, while specialty grains from NZ’s Gladfield Malt add layers of complexity. It’s a suitable chassis and one needed to withstand the hoppy barrage. Expect a crystal clear pour and autumn orange hue. Aromas of tinned fruit salad and blackcurrant juice dart from the collar, which settles thick and white. On the palate, find candied nectarine, sturdy bitterness, and an abundance of Trans-Tassie charm. 9% ABV

3. Kaiju! Mutation Program #0007 Space Lord NEIPA 440ml Can

A Radio friendly offering with a catchy modern riff on the citradelic aromas and flavours that have been hauling your olfactory cortex to infinity from time immemorial. 7.6% ABV

4. Kaiju! Mutation Program #0008 Dopesmoker WCIPA 440ml Can

Droning deep darkness. Bitterness for aeons. Aromas of acerbic citrus, tropical fruit, crisp grape and bud. Tune in and drop out with beer in hand 6.2% ABV

5. Akasha The Chronic West Coast IIPA 375ml Can

Celebrate the heyday of OG West Coast flavour with this dank, piney hit from Dr Dave. Packing a banging malt bill harmonised with fat tropical and citrus beats freestyled from a profusion of our favourite hops, The Chronic may be the dopest IIPA around. 8% ABV

6. Bach Brewing Grain Daddy Unfiltered Double IPA 440ml Can

Over at Bach we’ve been pondering the reality that hops don’t shine without the perfect cushion of malts. Doug & Gabi Michael started Gladfield Malt 14 years ago. Doug’s a 5th generation barley grower and you might say he’s a Grain Daddy of malt here in NZ. Grain Daddy Double IPA is proudly brewed using locally grown & malted Gladfield malt, and a truckload of NZ and USA hops including; Nelson Sauvin, Strata and Citra. 8% ABV

7. Stone Japanese Green Tea IPA 355ml Can

First brewed in 2011, this IPA is something truly magnificent, unique and well worth brewing again. The recipe was a collaboration with our friends Toshi Ishii (whose first brewing job was at Stone for many years, before going on to become one of Japan’s most celebrated craft brewers), and Brian Baird (who founded Japan’s Baird Brewing). Whole leaf green tea adds a gentle accent to the blend of northern and southern hemisphere hops in this recipe, and our fans have been asking (some demanding) for its bright herbaceousness to make a return for years. To have such an innovative creation be so fervently enjoyed by nearly everyone who tries it – there’s nothing better. When the time inevitably comes to ask us for another release, just say “Mou ippai!” (I’ll have another!) 10.1% ABV

8. Molly Rose Skylight IPA 375ml Can

Bright citrus, tropical and juicy finishes clean and dry with a moorish bitterness. Pale, bright and crisp, this beer is an IPA that is meant to be drunk in the sun in a park, or on a beach directly from an esky and possibly from a stubby holder! 4.8%
