For the 2016 Mad Abbot Christmas Ale we changed up the malt bill by adding rye malt, which gives an added silky smooth character. The result is an ultra smooth, strong dark ale exhibiting complex characters of spice, rum, raisin, dark cherry, dark plum, leather and vanilla bean.
It will reward with careful cellaring up to 5+ years after date of bottling. Edit: we're now in 2020 and it is still tasting amazing.
