Moa Brewing Company
Moa Perris Sky Juice IPA
Country: New Zealand
Style: IPA - India Pale Ale
Format: 500ml Bottle
As our second West Coast IPA challenge winner, it was clear Perris Sky Juice deserved its moment in the sun. Brewed specifically for the Malthouse's 9th Annual IPA challenge, this beer was originally destined to be kegged. After some positive feedback and a win under its belt, Perris has been bottled as a limited released.
The name Perris Sky Juice comes from Perris Valley, a town just outside of Los Angeles. A world famous skydiving drop zone where Moa Head brewer David Nicholls spent ten days jumping in the 90s. As David explains, the beer describes Perris (the place) plus Sky Juice (the beer you drink to celebrate that you are still alive, after voluntarily throwing yourself out of a plane).
This American Style IPA features a mixture of popular U.S hops. This beer has the power you'd expect from the USS Nimitz and the balance and beauty of Michael Flatley river dancing on a bed of fresh Columbus, Citra, Simcoe and Amarillo hops.
