Every child in Italy is reared on the famous chocolate hazelnut spread for their afternoon snack or "Merenda". Seeking inspiration from this and giving it a Nomad twist, we have sourced a nutty native alternative in roasted wattleseed to create a wattleseed sweet stout. Chocolate malts and oats were used to create a rich chocolate backbone, lactose added for a milky consistency and roasted wattle seed for the nutty aroma and palate. Cocoa nose. Roasted malt with subtle citrus and nutty backdrop. Lingering choc. Subtle Aussie bush hints late.
Not exactly my cup of tea
maybe its the conflict of flavours, maybe its the flat mouthfeel, but while I didn't mind this, I wasn't particularly impressed by it. That's just me personally, it may appeal to some others.
