The top product from the Rochefort Trappist brewery. Dark colour, full and very impressive taste. Strong plum, raisin, and black currant palate, with ascending notes of vinousness and other complexities.

AS GOOD AS IT GETS
First tried this beer in Brugge in Belgium and although expensive to buy here in the bush, (Tumut NSW Aust), the quality of the beer is well worth it. Yes it is strong and you can taste the alcohol but the flavours that come through the beer when drinking it are just sensational.

Good
Not as good as the St Bernardus 12, in my opinion. It is quite boozy, you can definitely taste the alcohol. With that being said, it's still a really good beer.

Bloody beautiful.
Tried it when on holidays in Brugge, Belgium and just had to have some again here in Oz for my birthday celebrations. Great taste with unique flavours and has that bit of a kick to it.

Good. Really, really good!
This was great, maybe one of the best beers I've had! I'd heard good things about it and I have quite liked other Trappist beers I've had so I gave it a go. It doesn't taste like it's 11%, I have nothing but good things to say about this beer. I would definitely drink it again!

Heaven in a glass
I've tried this before, and every time I have another one, I decide it's still the best beer I've ever had.
I can't even begin to imagine how they got 11.5% alcohol without a hint of it marring the flavour of the beer.
The flavour is amazingly complex - lots of dried fruits and caramels... and an aftertaste you won't believe
