Great example of Barleywine
Piney, spicy, orange and clove flavours. Sweet but not overly so. Really nice slow sipper.
first experience with barleywin didn't dissapoint
Different type of beer for me. Full of flavour, very sweet which evetually turns a bit bitter with orange overtones. Long, bittersweet finish. Overall a pretty nice beer but be careful to not drink it too quickly or you'll be on the floor just as quick.
A lovely sipping beer
For those of us who love strong beers, this is a special one. Definitely for sipping and not for slaking a thirst after sport or mowing the lawn. Reverse this ne for after-dinner special occasion savoring.
One to be sipped slowly over time.
Packed 01/06/16. Poured a translucent copper colour with a one-to two-finger tan frothy head that retained extremely well but laced poorly in rings. Carbonation high, lively and fine. Aroma distinctly sweet of sweet dark fruits and sweet rich caramel with alcohol present but not overly obvious. Taste of slight pine, slight grapefruit, sweet malt, brown sugar and spices; low bitterness; a slight alcohol burn with the alcohol becoming more obvious as it warms. Heavy body. Smooth and syrupy with a soft mouthfeel and a sweet finish with subtle spiciness. One to be sipped slowly over time.
Best barleywine i've had. Doesnt have the dankness others of the style seem to have
My first experience with barley wine. Beautiful sweet warming from the alcohol. Complimented by the citrusy American hops.
Sit in front of a fire on a winters night and sip this baby slowly.
Big hops nose. Warming caramels and roasted malt front. Spice and awesome hop burn, bitter, lingering finish.
