WHAT OTHER CUSTOMERS ARE SAYING
Top Notch IIPA - One of the best I've had
"Great IIPA -
Aroma: Intense resiny hop aroma, with a slight citrus note shining through. It took a lot of smelling to get the citrus through over the resiny, grassy notes from the hops
Appearance: Reddish copper/golden colour. Some resinous haze. Nice off-white head which persisted a while.
Flavour - complex strong hoppiness coming through. Clearly they have used some big US Hops like Columbus, Amarillo and Simcoe. Malt flavour is low, but supports the hops. More of an alcoholic warming than the Resin, but it isn't unpleasant.
Mouthfeel - medium body, no noticeable astringency. Alcoholic warming through the finish.
Overall: Great beer. Not a session beer, purely because of how heavy it is, but it was a fantastic example of an IIPA."
Golden hue of a tropical fruit nectar with super sweet passionfruit and honey nose. Syrupy thick and smooth. Mango, apricot, honey, orange flavours. 11% ABV is well disguised. Take this one sip at a time and enjoy!
"another excellent beer from Sixpoint . not quite as easy to drink as the resin but still a favourite of mine .
no coming back from this beer ."
A few friends had said this was far superior to Resin, but for me it was a little overwhelming and not as well rounded. It seemed to be extra IBU/ABV for the sake of it. Still worth checking out if IIPA's are your thing.
