Top class Kriek - sweet and delicious
The Belgian/Dutch cherry fruit beer made with a lambic/wild culture, the "Kriek" was mentioned by cerebral novelist Richard Powers in "Galatea 2.2" as one he'd developed a taste for while in the Netherlands. This style is done to perfection by Lindemans, in a solid sized bottle with classy cork like a wine, and a beer bottle cap too. 3.5% alcohol is a pleasant mid-strength. The deep cheery-red is stunning, a pink head, with so many fruity aromas. It is sweet but with a murmuring gently lambic sourness. It's like a cider, or a fruit beer, of real class to enjoy. Look for the "Framboise" (Raspberry) and Strawberry versions too!
Fantastic Kriek and fantastic value!!
The cherry comes through really well. It's sweet and delicious. Very easy to drink.
Cherry Bombe sweet, rich lambic fruit beer!
Ever since hearing about the "Kriek" style of Dutch/Belgian fruit beers via cerebral novelist Richard Powers in "Galatea 2.2", I've been curious to find the attraction - and with Lindeman's Kriek I have found one that hits the spot. It arrives in a hearty 375mL bottle which has both a classic beer bottle cap and classy cork - Kriek is that classic bridge between fruit beer and sparkling wine. Red and rich with the aroma of cherries, the pearly foaming aromatic head and complex but delicate lambic sourness rounds out a really special taste experience. It's a 3.5% alcohol "mid-strength" beer, easy enough for a relatively low-volume drinker to enjoy, and a special brew to enjoy with friends who want to experience a treat of a taste in their social beer drinking.
Great taste and value for money :)
Love this cherry bear well worth the money and not too high in alcohol
Good example of a Belgian Kriek
"Good balance not too sweet
Cheery flavour comes through nicely
Would definitely buy again"
First tasted Lindemans kriek on a holiday in Hong Kong it was so refreshing and different to normal beer, I couldn't wait to get back to Perth and search for it here. Was happy to find you had some in stock. Will be buying more.
