Our spring seasonal barrel aged beer for the Dad's Army range is a spiced pumpkin ale, aged on oak for 3 months in Lark Port Whiskey Barrels. A combination of biscuit & caramel malts combine with 25kg of roasted pumpkin in the mash for a rounded backbone, before being boiled with English Fuggles hops and a generous addition of cinnamon and nutmeg to spice things up a bit. Fermented on a classic english yeast strain, and then aged in the barrels for 3 months, this beer presents a complex flavour profile with notes of all of the additions and processes the went into the beer. Spice, pumpkin, english ale yeast character, whiskey all play a part in challenging your palate for Halloween.
