Brew Dog 5AM Saint
Style: Amber Ale
Format: 330ml Bottle
The BrewDog Scottish brewers describe this beer as “iconoclastic amber ale”. This is a great version of an amber ale, reddish in colour and bursting with malt and hop flavours. There is no over powering elements to this beer and all in all it's quite a nice drop with balanced hop and malt flavours from start to finish.
Contains no preservatives or additives.
WHAT OTHER CUSTOMERS ARE SAYING
like eating a malty biscuit
Not much aroma wise but taste it has a toffee, malty biscuit taste which is awesome
A highly sessionable amber ale with a nice balance of sweet malty flavours and a restrained bitterness.
This is one of my all time favourite ambers, I keep going back to it because it's got enough flavour to be interesting, but you could drink it all day and not get sick of it. BrewDog make great beer!
This is a nice enough amber ale without being anything too special. I'd give it an extra star only it has a really bad aftertaste that you won't be able to get out of your mouth. It was not due to old stock either and I have since read other reviewers elsewhere mention the same thing. BrewDog are capable of brewing much better beer than this!
Hops and spice nose. Biscuit, toffee, caramel, amber malt spice with subtle lingering hop and amber spice finish.
From Scotland, One of the world's outstanding breweries. I think they have a beer naming department that has to be kept busy..Name change from "The Physics" laid back amber beer, to" 5 AM Saint" hoppy red ale..But same fantastic beer.. Perfectly roasted dark malt, making this more of a brown, but surprisingly dry & not too hoppy at all. I drink it all year round..
Sadly, not always available, so get it while you can.
