  I got lucky!

  Picked this big banger up at a closing down sale. Drank it over 30 minutes or so after warming up out of the fridge for 20 minutes. Quite the exercise in patience. A BBA [bourbon barrel aged] Imperial Stout with the additions of toasted coconut and vanilla beans. Big ABV at 14.4% and 5.1 standard drinks out of a 440ml can. Boom! Immediately, I smell the dark chocolate in the Lindt 70% dark range and vanilla. That dark almost tar like colour with less carbonation tells the Imperial story. First taste, the mouthfeel is rich and creamy. This banger is only going to get better with time in the glass…and it did! Hints of burnt caramel and whispers of bourbon tell tales of the brewer’s skill. Do yourself a flavour, the team at Deeds know their stout!

  Wow

  Wow just wow, probably one of the best stouts I’ve ever tried. Being a guy that loves coconut. This for me is hands down 10/10 Not too strong to drink and not too strong with the flavors. Very smooth, coconut, vanilla, slight bourbon.

  Enlightening

  This series is awesome, and this beer on its own is an experience, it is strong in alcoholic taste but is not over powering like some higher ABV beers I have had in the past, it is a shame that it is limited run, but I am greatful to have gotten my hands on a can.
