This isn't just another collaboration—it's the meeting of two brewing powerhouses (and two of our personal favourites), each holding the coveted GABS Hottest 100 crown in their respective countries. Mountain Culture Beer Co. (Australia's reigning champion) and Garage Project (New Zealand's title holder) have joined forces to create brilliance.

 

The Story Behind Majestic Haze

 

Named after the majestic haze that crowns the mountaintops of New Zealand's stunning Nelson Lakes region, this beer represents months of planning, international hop-hunting expeditions, and shared passion for pushing the boundaries of what hazy IPA can be.

The Mountain Culture team, including OG brewer Harry, journeyed across the ditch to hand-select hops alongside Garage Project's head brewer Pete in the legendary Nelson Lakes hop fields. The result? What may very well be the freshest NZ-hopped IPA ever released in Australia.

 

Hop Selection Perfection

 

This collaboration showcases three delicious hop varieties, each contributing their own distinctive character:

Peacherine - The hottest hop on the market right now, delivering explosive juicy peach flavours that coat the palate

NZ Cascade - Providing distinct grapefruit notes and enticing red berry aromas that add complexity and depth

Riwaka - Contributing unique complexity with pungent passionfruit and sweet citrus flavours that define New Zealand hop character

 

Tasting Experience

 

Appearance: Brilliantly hazy with a golden-orange glow that hints at the tropical paradise within

Aroma: An intoxicating bouquet of sweet grapefruit, ripe passionfruit, and juicy stone fruit that draws you in from the first pour

Flavour: Big, bold flavours burst across the palate—sweet grapefruit mingles with tropical passionfruit whilst juicy peach notes dominate the finish

Mouthfeel: Smooth, pillowy soft texture with just enough body to carry these intense hop flavours without overwhelming the palate

Finish: Clean, refreshing, and utterly sessionable despite the flavour intensity
