Brewed with pineapple juice and coconut, this beer underwent a two-part fermentation: first with a home-grown lactobacillus culture, followed by a standard ale yeast. The result is a light bodied, full flavoured beer with a refreshingly tart finish.
APPEARANCE: Straw gold with mild haze and a dense white head.
AROMA: Assertive but pleasantly coconutty, with slight pineapple characters.
FLAVOUR: Light bodied with very low bitterness, and refreshing sourness. Pineapple flavours come through on mid-palate, leading to a clean finish.
OTHER INGREDIENTS: Lactobacillus culture, pineapple juice and coconut.
MALTS: Gladfield German Pilsner and Wheat.
HOPS: Australian Cluster.

Coconut and pineapple in a beer. Odd combination but it grows on you. Very refreshing
Pineapple dominant and rum present in aroma. Light golden colour with dense white head. Coconut much more present in flavour and perfectly balanced with pineapple and more traditional beer flavours. A perfect blend between a beer and a Pina colada. Not just a favourite summer beer, but one of my favourite beers yet.
