Achel 8 Blonde
Brewery: Brouwerij der Trappistenabdij De Achelse Kluis
Style: Belgian Strong Ale
Format: 330ml Bottle
A pale, strong, fruity, hoppy Trappist ale from one of Belgium’s six official abbey breweries. This blonde, flavourful beer is a surprisingly refreshing brew at 8% alcohol by volume. It is lightly filtered, but still wholesomely hazy with yeast remaining and refermenting in the bottle.
WHAT OTHER CUSTOMERS ARE SAYING
To the last mouthful was nice.
A "Blond Beir" from Belgium.
With 8% alc, is made from "malte d'orge".
It poured into my chalice with a nice golden colour. With little aroma, slight amount of bubbles. The head was full but dissipated quickly. Bubbles stayed consistent.
Tested slightly creamy which lingered on the tongue.

Such good beer is Legendary
Some 50 years ago I lived near Achel and I used to take friends to the Trappist Establishment there to drink real Trappist Beer. Yes, Achelse Kluis, unforgettable.
This is a fantastic beer. I found it to be very sweet and malty, with a nice medium mouthfeel. Very very easy to drink, can't taste the 8% in there at all. One of the better Trappist beers I've had.
