About The Beer

Big, dark and emerging from the deep dark winter abyss, these beers will take no prisoners so be prepared! Version #15 of our dark beer pack is ready to go for your drinking pleasure.

Featuring 8 of our favourite Stouts, Porters and Dark ales. We've also sneaked in a couple of epic Imperial sized dark beers for you, as well as a yummy chocolate stout from New Zealand's 8 Wired!

The line-up:

1. Uraidla Melusine Almond Croissant Imperial Stout 375ml Can

Melusine is built upon a large Imperial Stout malt bill for a 10% ABV with plenty of residual sweetness and layered with oats for a silky finish. Freshly baked, Whole almond croissants were added to the mash by the Uraidla bakery. 10 kgs of whole Tahitian vanilla beans were then whirl-pooled through the brew kettle after a long, sticky boil. After fermentation, this pastry stout was then conditioned on Lactose and 30 kgs of freshly toasted almonds for a final pop of flavour. Decadent, full-bodied and layered with flavour's of rich vanilla, Almond frangipane and a roasted finish this is sure to be any stout or pastry lovers dream. ABV 10%

2. Hawkers Gee, These Woods Sure Are Dark Black Forest Stout 440ml Can

The melding of chocolate and cherry is a timeless pairing, widely associated with the dessert cake known as “Black Forest”. Not ones to tamper with tradition, we’ve taken the flavours of this beloved treat and built them on the foundation of a robust, toasty stout. Grab a spoon. ABV 8%

3. Good Land Spaceships Oatmeal & Coffee Breakfast Stout 355ml Can

Spaceships is our lastest stout brewed with rich chocolate, roast malts and milk sugar. It’s then conditioned on a blend of coffee, freshly roasted by our pals at Fat Cat Coffee Roasters.
Brewed in Traralgon  ABV 5.2%

4. Chimay Blue 330ml Bottle

The Chimay Blue Cap, baptized "Grande Reserve" in 750 ml bottles is a dark Trappist beer with a powerful aroma, the complex flavor of which improves across the years. It was first brewed as a Christmas beer by the monks of Scourmont Abbey in 1956. This authentic Belgian beer, whose tinge of fresh yeast is associated with a light rosy flowery touch, is particularly pleasant. Its aroma, perceived as one enjoys it, only accents the delightful sensations revealed by the odor, all revealing a light but agreeable caramelized note.. ABV 9%

5. Evil Twin Dayshift English Porter 440ml Can

A bold, robust porter with a touch of sweetness. Drinks with a light-medium body & offers rich notes of big chocolate, caramel, toffee, with a bit of roasted malt. ABV 8%

6. Reckless Black IPA 375ml Can

Thronging with balanced New World American hops in a hellishly good taste of the dark side, there's none more black than this Black IPA. An absolute headbanger's ball of citrus and resin characters dancing over roasty bones of malt and coffee. Reckless invites you to crank up the amps and shred the night away with this quality doom fuel. ABV 6.5%

7. Grifter The Omen Stout 375ml Can

A rich, smooth stout with layers of malt complexity. Roast malt, coffee and chocolate flavours & aromas. ABV 5.5%

8. Jervis Bay Black Bevy Session Stout 375ml Can

This Black Bevy is based on the classic Irish style dry stout. Relatively low in alcohol but with plenty of roast malt and a smooth, creamy finish, this stout is sessionable and seductive. Lake Wollumboola in Jervis Bay National Park is one of the most important gathering places for black swans. These majestic birds are the name sake of our Black Bevy Session Stout...bevy is a collective noun for swans. ABV 4.2%
