Fresh IPA, a rolling, ever-changing, monthly series of one-offs, brewed in small batches and available only from our brewery outlets and only while stocks last. Each batch is an opportunity to try a new brewery fresh IPA, unfiltered and unfined, showcasing a unique combination of yeast, malt and hops. Just fun, fresh hoppy beer at its best.

February. The tinsel and baubles have been packed away, some New Year’s resolutions have already been forgotten and for most of us it’s back to work. But just 'cos it’s February, doesn’t mean you can’t keep a little of that sunny holiday vibe going. The weather is still good (occasionally) and FRESH FEB is tasting delicious!

It’s a big chewy number this month, with extra rolled oats, delicious toasty golden naked oats and chitted barley (special lightly malted grain) giving this beer extra mouthfeel and balance. There’s a restrained addition of tropical Idaho 7 on the hot side and then a massive dry hop of pineapple heavy Strata, Australian tropical fruit salad Galaxy and US Summit for a zippy lemon peel hit. Through some form of olfactory chemical wizardry FEB throws that same instantaneous room aroma. The very moment you crack the can, there it is, a little aromatic tropical fruit teaser that hints at what’s to come, straight from the can to your nose. Then pour a glass of extra thick haze, a richer summer straw gold than some previous months thanks to the Golden Naked Oats. The glass aroma I can only describe as double cream mango milkshake with a twist of lime zest. The palate is resinous and spruce tips melding into pineapple lumps and lemon citrus sherbert, with a subtle hint of cedarwood on the back of the palate. Then smooth mouthfeel with a balanced bitterness for extra drinkability.

Sure, it’s February, but that’s no reason not to keep a little bit of the party going ; )
