This is one of the recommended beers to use in a traditional Belgian stew, "Stoofvlees"! Yum!
From Belgium (I'm seeing a pattern here!) is a Trappistes Rochefort beer. Again made from malted barley and at 9.2% alc. Phew! Poured nicely with a pleasant mild aroma. Light brn colour in glass and an average head that stayed on. First taste; "creamy, again". Second sip; "yep, it's nicer with a mouthful". Suddenly it was finished! This beer was best when still very cold due to its creamness. Pity it didn't get that chance...yum Rated: 6/10
A lovely complex well balance dark beer.
Tastes like hundreds years of trial and error, has made this very refined brew.
It is just not the ten but will definitely tickle the palate
