We've been growing tashes for the last month, all in the name of men's health.
Movember Charity Auction: Stone and Wood Limited Edition Beer
The team at Beer Cartel are doing their bit this Movember to support Male Depression and Prostate Cancer.
As well as growing (or attempting) mo's we thought we would also auction off a limited edition bottle of Stone & Wood Stone Beer.
Who are Stone & Wood? They’re a brewery based at beautiful Bryon Bay, with a reputation for making amazing beer. Take for instance their Pacific Ale, a fantastic summer beer jam packed full of fresh tropical fruit aromas and flavours. So good in fact that it took out number one in 2012 Hottest 100 Beers run by The Local Taphouse.
Keen on making limited release beers Stone & Wood annually brew their Stone Beer, which is an attempt to follow what medieval brewers were doing; using heated stones in the brewing process. The 2012 Stone Beer builds on Stone & Woods’ learnings from making this great beer over the last few years, with some darker roasted malts added, as well as the use of the noble hops (Hersbrucker) to create a darker, higher alcohol ale with a firmer bitterness.
Aroma: roasted malt and spicy hops
Palate: dark chocolate, aniseed and rich malts
Finish: firm, bitter and dry
This auction is for ONE bottle of the limited release Stone Beer, in the even more limited release Stone bottle (we sold this beer in our shop, but never in the Stone bottle!).
All proceeds for this auction will be given to Movember and its aligned charities; beyondblue and the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.
